Sovereign App Store
A repository for browsing and downloading open-source, distributed applications onto your Embassy. Apps binaries are made available unaltered and thinly wrapped with an Ambassador manifest, enabling the Embassy's unprecedented ease of installation, configuration, and overall user experience. The Sovereign App Store is currently hosted and managed by Start9 Labs but soon evolve into a distributed, trustless experience, and thereby removing the final piece of trust from the entire system.
Start9 Labs is not in the business of building decentralized nodes and applications. The world of self-hosted, open source applications is already rich and expanding by the day: decentralized consensus protocols such as Bitcoin; payment networks such as Lightning; communications platforms such Cups and Matrix; storage protocols such as IPFS. Instead, Start9 Labs aims to grant these existing applications an unprecedented platform and distribution mechanism, unleashing their incredible potential for creating a more private and just world.
